Welcome to the South Parkland Baseball website! Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and skill-focused environment where young athletes can develop not only as players but also as individuals. With a commitment to teamwork, sportsmanship, and character-building, we strive to empower our players with the tools they need to succeed both on and off the field. Whether they're taking their first steps onto the diamond or preparing to transition to higher levels of play, we're here to guide them every step of the way. Join us in this exciting journey of learning, growth, and a shared love for the game!

Here is some important information:

Capacity Limits - Once they are met, a waitlist will be created by contacting the Baseball Commissioner at baseball@spya.org. Once enough players are on the waitlist to create a team, and a head coach has been identified, you will be contacted to complete your registration.

Registration Closing Date - Due to tryout schedules and the formation of teams, the Registration Closing Date is final and cannot be changed.

Tryouts - In the Spring, Biddy and Midget will have tryouts in early March, while all other levels will be held in late March once the high school roster has been set.  In the Fall, all divisions will tryout in late July. Players must attend independent evaluated tryouts to be eligible for PYL AL, LVL, or Connie Mack team selection and are strongly encourage to attend all try out sessions.  Players not selected will be made available for the PYL NL teams, who will build their rosters via a draft.  Players registered will be contacted directly with details of their respective tryout.  There is no additional cost for tryouts at any level.

Financial Aid - SPYA has a financial aid application and process for families in need.  It is completed in the strictest confidence.  You may request further information at treasurer@spya.org.

Refunds - SPYA has a strict no refund policy, if there is a place for your child to play there will be no refund.

Tournament Players - We encourage you to play within South Parkland to supplement your tournament season.  To be eligible to play within SP, you must try out for the LVL/PYL AL or Jr. Connie Mack team at your age level.  If you do not make one of these teams you are not eligible for a PYL NL team.  A partial refund will be determined directly by the Baseball Commissioner, with a max refund of 2/3 of the registration fee.  You will need to provide proof of being rostered for the current season of your tournament team along with documented attendance at SP tryouts.

Residency Requirements - LVL, Connie Mack, and Legion teams have residency requirements based on your home address.  If you do not live within South Parkland territory, you must have been cut or released from your home team to be eligible for South Parkland.  For further information, please contact the Baseball Commissioner at baseball@spya.org
