Prep Description: The Prep League is a coach pitch league designed primarily for 6-7 year olds, to build
upon the fundamentals of hitting and fielding learned at the T-Ball level. All games are 4 innings in length. All
players present on game day will bat in a rotational order each inning as well as play a defensive position in each of
the four innings. Adult coaches are stationed on the field to provide instruction. Teams will practice two weekdays
per week and another session on Saturday’s. The Prep level will utilize 55-foot bases. There is no kid pitch at this
level. No catchers will be used. Players must have their own equipment (batting helmet, glove, baseball bat).
There is NO SHARING OF ANY EQUIPMENT, please see SPYA’s COVID Protocols for more info. Baseball pants
must be worn, they are not provided.

Weekly Time Commitment: 2 Weekday’s + Saturday AM/early PM

Game Times (Based on 2019): Saturday AM’s (9:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm) + Sunday games are possible
Length of Season: Early/Mid-April through Mid-June (Games begin late April)

Team Assignments: Late March
Prep Description: The Minors League is a coach pitch league designed primarily for 7-8 year olds, to build
upon the fundamentals of hitting and fielding learned at the Prep level. The Minors level will also begin to
introduce the concept of an inning ending after 3 outs and the basics of kid pitch. The first half of the season will
be only coach pitch. The second half of the season will be 4 innings of coach pitch and 1 inning of kid pitch. All
